And beyond moldmaking, C&R Molds uses 10 injection molding machines to provide customers with finished products, mostly plastic parts in quantity runs. About 20% of its jobs are for medical products, made in a clean room with two molding machines for producing medical and dental parts. C&R Molds uses aluminum plus a lot of 420 stainless, particularly for its plumbing equipment customers where corrosion is a factor. It specializes in conventional, hot runner, stack and automatic unwinding molds. The injection molders housed in a separate plant area run from 40 and 50 ton machines to 200 and 400 ton machines.
